I think this is the first Christmas I've had with so many family members and a proper tree. Currently with my Dad's side of the family and they're making so much good food, I might die of food coma. xD I'm usually more of a loner, but it's actually kinda nice being with family I guess... Hope my mom's doing okay, I'll fly out to her in a couple days.
This year was certainly an eventful year for me. I helped to shoot a romcom pilot episode for television. Learned a lot about filming and how that works. Can't say I particularly love it, tbh. Most people I guess, think live-action, actors and that jazz is cooler. I don't know if it's just me growing up on too much anime, but I honestly like anime story-telling just as much, if not more than live action. xD;;
Though, I haven't watched too many new series. Anyone have recommendations? This year the only stuff I picked up were Kuroke no Basuke, which I guess was enjoyable enough, although the manga author doesn't really know how Basketball works. LOL. Still Prefer Slam Dunk. And uhh Sword Art Online (Twilight for Boys, I've heard.) Not sure what to think about that one. I love anything MMO and fantasy in general. xD; But towards the later episodes it was just sooo much cleavage and fan-service that it's hard for me to take it srsly.
But I did like the SAO art! You might notice some more SAO influence in my drawings. Got my old webcomic, Key, up and running again: [link] and maintained updates for Shan Shan: [link] Hopefully those will continue to go smoothly~
I'm also taking screenwriting classes at the moment from ScreenwritingU: [link] So far, their classes and phone calls have been AWESOME. (Although, sometimes a bit long @_@) Very helpful for anyone interested in that industry.
Oh! Also, I know the Holidays is supposed to be all happy, but I feel this bit of news is important. If you could help sign this petition -> [link] <- to stop illegal organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners, I'd be greatly appreciated. Basically Falun Dafa — truth, compassion and tolerance — is something I've been practicing ever since I was thirteen, but it's unfortunately still persecuted to this day in China. (I can't say I'm always very good at holding myself to those three principles, but hey, I try
I'm sorry. Am I rambling? Probably rambling. xD;; Thank you for reading and for watching me! I appreciate it, even if I don't constantly express it. Hoping to be more active in the coming year.
Here's to an awesome 2013!
